EMPE Diagnostics Partners with Interprise to Expand Access to TB Drug Resistance Diagnostics Across Brazil
Exclusive distribution agreement brings EMPE’s molecular Tuberculosis detection and drug-resistance profiling technology to laboratories throughout Brazil
STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN AND PAULÍNIA, BRAZIL — July 27th ,2026 —EMPE Diagnostics AB, a Swedish molecular diagnostics company specializing in molecular IVD for tuberculosis (TB) detection and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) profiling, entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Interprise, a leading Brazilian importer and distributor of laboratory equipment and life-science solutions. Under the agreement, Interprise will serve as EMPE Diagnostics’ exclusive distribution partner for Brazil, bringing the company’s proprietary chemistry-based diagnostic platform and expertise in molecular TB drug resistance diagnosis to laboratories, hospitals, and research institutions across the country.
The partnership marks EMPE Diagnostics’ entry into the Brazilian market and reflects the company’s continued international expansion following the recent launch of EMPE TBDx, a platform-agnostic, qPCR-based TB screening kit, and its ongoing rollout of a modular test kit for TB detection and simultaneous resistance identification of rifampicin, isoniazid, and fluoroquinolones, slated for Q3 2026. Brazil remains one of the highest-burden countries for tuberculosis in the Americas, and the agreement is designed to provide accessible and cost-effective diagnostic tools that combine TB identification with extensive drug-resistance profiling in a single test.

Through this agreement, Interprise will manage in-country logistics, customs clearance, technical support, customer service and ANVISA registration for EMPE’s diagnostic portfolio, drawing on its established relationships with laboratories across Brazil’s pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and research sectors. The partnership is effective immediately, with product availability and training programs to be rolled out in the coming months.
