On Wednesday March 31, 2021 was held the official inauguration of EMPE Diagnostics Private Limited Global Production facility at Genome Valley in Hyderabad (India).
The event, globally live-streamed, welcomed high representatives of the Swedish and Indian governments, local initiatives and companies, as well as NGOs. Mr. Viggo Barmen (Second Secretary, Economic, Trade and Cultural Affair, Embassy of Sweden, New Delhi), Dr. Ajith Rangnekar (Innovation Director, RICH, Hyderabad), and Ms. Maria Helling (CEO, Swecare, Stockholm) were some of the invited speakers.
“Tuberculosis infects an estimated one-fourth of the global population, with 10 million new cases every year and 4000 deaths every day. Many of them can be saved if they are diagnosed at the early stages and availed correct treatment. Therefore, let us join hands to support the Government India’s initiative to end TB by 2025” – specified Dr. Pavan Asalapuram, Co-founder and CEO of EMPE Diagnostics Global.
EMPE Diagnostics brings its know-how and technologies for rapidly identifying TB and MDR/XDR-TB cases to the territory. With its solid fundaments, the company is already planning for the future of TB diagnostics.
